I don't share all of these projects that I do, but after completing this one, I decided I would share it. I enjoyed so much making it, watching it, and then hearing their joy when they received it! I feel so very honored each and every time someone puts their faith in me to capture their newborn, child, or family because...let's face it, there are a lot of photographers out there these days and although we may have different styles or strengths, the true difference is the person behind the camera. I started taking this little fella's pictures when he was only nine days old and saw him every three months after that! That may not sound that amazing to you, but in that time I found out that I was pregnant, had my baby, and had an infant to care for. So, around Baby L's 6 month picture time, I was HUGE, uncomfortable and HOT (it was summertime). I tried to talk Mom into a later date as I was unsure if I would be able to deliver the caliber of session that I expect to give and if you know me very well...I can be a bit of a perfectionist at times. Mom insisted she wanted this shoot and we decided to pencil it in and see how I felt. I was feeling pretty good, considering my delicate state (haha), and what do you say to someone who REALLY wants YOU?!:) Again, I'm honored and truly blessed to have had so many repeat clients. You have no idea how much that means to me...so, from the bottom of my heart...THANK YOU! And, thank you to all my clients for such a wonderful 2011! I'm looking forward to what 2012 brings and can't wait to see you again!
Thanks for looking!

Another year older... Central Kansas Child Photographer, Kansas Photographer
They grow up whether we want them to or not. Sometimes, when fits are being thrown, I wish it would happen sooner. HA! But then I can always get a little sentimental and realize that these days are numbered and then it is easy to wish them to stay small. I'm sure in a few years when they are off on their own that I will only remember the good days...right?!:) I love them dearly and I couldn't be more delighted with their efforts in our photoshoot the other day. We had a little fun with our new hot rollers and a fan! We did the fan with my oldest a few years ago and she rocked it then, but this year they both were fabulous:)The curls...the fan...those eyes...and I'm in love:)
We went outside too for a few snaps. It was unseasonably warm weather for January but still a bit chilly for a skirt so we didn't linger long:)

The Big ONE...Central Kansas Child Photographer, Kansas Photographer
It is hard to believe this little guy is already ONE! I have gotten to see him every three months this past year and what a joy he has been to photograph. He is always so happy and ready to have fun. We had the perfect weather for some outdoor shots too, you never know what you are going to get in January but it was just beautiful. I wish we could have played out there longer but we had a cake smash to do too. He had a ball diving into that cake as shown in the pictures below:) Thanks again for coming and I hope you enjoy your peek!
