On a cold morning, this crew gathered in the prettiest of spots to get their pictures taken. It was one for the memory books, for sure! What a beautiful family and it couldn't have been a prettier morning light-wise. It could have been warmer, but one can't be too picky, right?! :)

A new little face for this sweet family. I think part of what makes a new life so special is that it is just that... ALL NEW! No one has seen their face before, they have all new skin, feet and hands. Everything they do from the beginning is all new to them in the world, so it is fun to watch them learn and take it all in for the first time.
Also, new for me is that I will only be doing on-location newborns for the foreseeable future. I know it might seem overwhelming to think that your home has to be in tip-top shape for pictures...but that just isn't true. I need ONE clean corner with a large light source, and we are golden!

It is always fun to photograph families around their property. I love capturing pieces of what makes it special to them. This family is well-known for the stone post signs they made for many years. We have one at our house that my mother and father in-law gifted to us as a wedding present. What a wonderful and long-lasting gift! We also made sure to get the old barn in a few pictures as well since it has a long history on the farm. Old barns are my favorite! I kind of wish we had one near our house so I could photograph it in all the seasons...and use it for lots of other things...ha! I hope you enjoy a few photos from this fun extended family session!
