Focus...Monday Moment

"If you really want to do something, you'll find a way. If you don't, you'll find an excuse." -Jim Rohn

Each new day brings an opportunity to re-focus and live a purposeful life. I hope this is the week I can find that determination to do better and stay focused. I have several things I want to do. I want to get fit again and consume less sugar. At the moment, I don't struggle to terrible much with all the leftover Halloween candy but it is soda that is my weakness. About noon or shortly thereafter, I feel tired and it seems a little caffeine and sugar kick will help me out. It would probably help just as much to down a couple of glasses of water, but that "PSSSSSHT" sound of a cold can of pop getting opened is a sensory to which I have come accustomed. I even avoid purchasing said cold pops by the case at the store, but I still manage to find them at the gas station or other pit stops during my week. And, about that getting fit part. I have a little running joke in my head after I complete The 30 Day Shred workout that it would probably work better to do it for 30 days straight rather than every 30 days!
However, in other areas, I am accomplishing my goals. I wanted to continue my education and learn through reading.  I have never been an avid reader. I don't know why, but it took me a long time before I really enjoyed books. As a kid, I was always too busy wanting to be outside and play with my animals. I had pets of all kinds and I just loved caring for them. However, in the last few years, I have really enjoyed getting into more books and learning more about history. I have also been studying God's word more and I am so thankful for a group of women that I meet with on Wednesdays who help encourage me to do that. I have so much to read and learn but I feel so inspired and encouraged when I do spend the time to do it! I am working to improve my photography business. I want my clients to receive the best service, product, and images that I can offer! I am constantly working to refine my skills and search for new perspectives. It is sometimes hard to see the changes when you are so close to it, but I know I have improved but I also know that I have plenty of room to grow yet!

Thanks for listening to my rambling thoughts. I hope you find your focus this week too!
