So, if you haven't heard yet...I am offering some fun new studio sessions during these cold winter months. The Valentine sessions were a blast and oh so cute and I can't wait to show them off! Next this coming week are the Black/White sessions. There is still time if you are interested and want to schedule. I have a few spots left...hurry though because Tuesday will be here before we know it!
Back to why I love black and white. I felt like I might be going out on a limb by offering a just black and white session but I love a good black and white and wanted to stretch my creative brain a little with you:) Do you ever look at something so simple and say, WOW, that is stunning?! Black and white images take away the distraction and you just see the light falling on your subject and depending on how you use the light and the moment, it quiets the mind and brings you back to the basics of light and dark, highlight and shadow. I can't wait for Tuesday...hope to see you soon:) Contact me today to schedule.
Thanks for looking:)

Baby M...Newborns...Kansas Newborn Photographer
Sometimes I get lucky and newborns sleep from start to finish. And, by lucky, I mean REAL lucky. I figured out somewhere along the first day of motherhood that "sleeping like a baby" could be easily interpreted as "not very often", "not very long", and/or "not very sound"...haha. Ok, so maybe I had a tough first baby, I'm not holding any grudges as I have had a chance to catch up on my sleep now! Anyway, I am rambling. The bottom line is that I love this couple and feel so honored that they made the trip to my studio to capture their new baby boy. He held out to the very end for me to get a few shots of him by himself. I am so glad he finally gave in and relaxed a little...what a cutie! Hope you enjoy:)

The V Family...Central Kansas Family Photographer
Catching up some more from the Fall with another sweet family! I loved her choice of clothing for their family...lots of layers and beautiful colors. I might have to see if I could hire her to style my family for our next shoot! :) Although I have found that we have more available in our closets than it may seem. I make a game out of the challenge to find nearly all of them right here at home. I lay the outfits out on my bed and change it up until I'm happy. And then, if I am missing a few things, I know I'm only looking for a few specific things to complete the set. It is not as overwhelming to shop for one or two pieces as it is for new outfits for each member of our family. It is easier on the wallet too. :)
Hope you enjoy this delightful session:) They were a joy!

The B Family...Ellsworth, KS...Central Kansas Family Photographer
Another fun evening with this family and these boys never disappoint with their humor:) I think I need to brush up on some of my jokes though, I think I heard a few crickets on one or two of them:) It is no secret that I'm a horrible joke teller...haha.
I just love this location. It is historic and rustic and has so much character. And, it was fun to watch them play one of their favorite games at the end. I was pretty excited to finally use a piece that my Dad had found a few years ago for me...it came quite in handy as the table top for their game:) Thanks Dad! He's always finding me fun things for me to incorporate into my shots:)
Hope you enjoy:)

Fun family...Central Kansas Family Photographer
What a fun family! I feel so blessed to have the clients that I do, what a joy it is to photograph such wonderful families and celebrate the love that they share. These guys were up for anything and we had a ball. We ended the session in their backyard with smores! And, on the way back to their place I grabbed a shot of them driving in their car:) Love that car!
